ThawWatch should be easy to use from the cab: on a small phone, in bright sunlight, with gloves on, with a keyboard, or with a screen reader. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Large text, high contrast, and buttons and links big enough to tap.
- Every status is written out in words, never shown by colour alone.
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to main content” link.
- Form fields have labels, and errors say what to fix.
- Pages reflow to a narrow screen and to 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Each page is checked with automated accessibility tests before it ships.
