ThawWatch is a service run by Coderize (“we”, “us”). This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect when you use thawwatch.com and our alerts, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address, to confirm your account, sign you in and send email alerts.
- Your name and company, if you give them, so we know who the account is for.
- Phone numbers: yours, and on a fleet account the drivers’ phones you add, to send text alerts.
- Your consent to texts: when each phone agreed, and the exact wording it agreed to, and when a phone replied STOP.
- The places you follow, so we know which changes to alert you about.
- Records of the alerts we send: which alert went to which phone or email, and whether it was delivered.
- Payment details are collected and handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription references for your account.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, in server logs we use to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it
- To run the service: send the alerts you asked for, sign you in, and bill your plan.
- To keep a record of consent to texts, as phone carriers and the law require.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing texts.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share only what each one needs with the service providers that run ThawWatch for us:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, and sending our texts and emails.
- Neon: our database.
- Stripe: payments.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in answer to a valid court order.
Cookies
thawwatch.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a cookie only to keep you signed in to your account.
How long we keep it
- Account information, for as long as your account is open.
- After you close your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except what we must keep: payment records for tax and accounting, and the record of text consent and opt-outs, which we keep as proof for as long as the law requires.
- Server logs, for up to 90 days.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts to that phone.
- Email us to see, correct or delete your information, or to close your account:support@thawwatch.com.
