WisDOT Zone 5 weight restrictions

WisDOT sets its seasonal programs on Wisconsin’s state highways separately for each of five zones, and this is Zone 5. In spring, as the ground thaws, Class II roads come under seasonal weight restrictions andseasonal posted roads carry posted weight limits. In winter, thefrozen road declaration lets heavier loads run while the roads are frozen.

WisDOT’s zone data says which programs are on in each zone but gives no start times, so ThawWatch dates a change from when it first sees it.
